POTTER COMMENDED FOR ACTIONS

Ocean County Democratic Chairman Fred Potter stepped up to the plate and hit a homerun recently.  Berkeley Township Mayor Jason Varano and his Crew of Political Scammers, Pine Beach Mayor Russell Corby and Councilman Patrick Sheehan summoned Potter and asked that he call a meeting in order to chastise and condemn Dover Township Democratic Leader Dr. Jack Moriarty.  Varano and crew released the planning of the meeting to Varano’s personal political advisers, Robert K. Haelig and Richard Schiff of OceanCountyPolitics.com, who reported that the Ocean County Leadership was to take action against Dr. Moriarty.  Varano was pretty confident that Potter, like all Democratic Leaders before him, would cave in to Varano.  Well…the Mayor was so very wrong.

Potter Approves of Moriarty

“I would not call a meeting to spank Jack (Moriarty).  I have complete faith in Jack,” Potter told the Ocean County Observer.  Potter added that Moriarty and the Dover Township Democratic Organization has his “full support.”

Varano Stooge Corby Appears Not So Happy

Pine Beach Mayor Russ Corby, a Jason Varano crony, didn’t appear to be too happy with the outcome of the meeting.  Corby, along with Varano and Pine Beach Councilman Patrick Sheehan, has longed to be a controlling factor in the Ocean County Democratic Party.  Apparently the results of this meeting cemented the back seat status for the Corby/Sheehan/Varano Power Struggle with Moriarty/Larsen/Furey, while Moriarty is clearly at the very least, co-piloting the Ocean County Democrats Bandwagon.  The obviously dejected Corby was quoted in the Ocean County Observer as saying, “The Chairman called.  I went.  Our time would have been better spent at Mass, preparing for St. Patrick’s Day.”  Corby’s crew wanted the meeting because they believed Chairman Potter would cave into the Berkeley Democrats pressure, as had been the practice of the past County Democratic Chairman.  Potter showed Varano who is the boss.  Potter showed Varano where the leadership lies.  Potter stood up to Varano and his crew’s attack of Moriarty.  Kudos to Fred Potter!!

Unanswered Questions Remain

The following questions remain unanswered.  Did the Chairman discuss Varano and the Berkeley Democrats alliance with long time republican, Robert Haelig and Richard Schiff of OceanCountyPolitics.com?  Were Varano and Crew told not to financially support Haelig, Schiff and OceanCountyPolitics.com, who have spent much money and time causing division in the Ocean County democratic organization? Will the Varano/Corby/Sheehan attack campaign, fueled by greed finally stop?

Finally

Whether this is the end to the pathetic cheap attacks on Ocean County Dem’s by Varano and Crew is to be seen, however, Fred Potter showed Varano/Corby/Sheehan that he is the County Democrats Leader.  To paraphrase Eddie Murphy, “There’s a new Sheriff in Town.”  His name is Fred Potter.”
