RECYCLABLE PICKUP

 

FIRST AND THIRD DISTRICT RECYCLABLE PICKUP - Every first and third Wednesday (Except on Holidays)

SECOND DISTRICT RECYCLABLE PICKUP - Every second and fourth Wednesday (Except on Holidays)

 

WHAT TO RECYCLE

            1.         Aluminum, tin and mixed metal cans

            2.         Glass food and beverage containers

            3.         Plastic food, beverage and detergent containers

            4.         Tires (car only with rims removed)

            5.         Leaves and brush – NO GRASS

6.         Bulk metal – washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators.  No car parts (except tire rims)

            7.         Computers and peripherals   

 

HOW TO RECYCLE

 

1.         ALL PAPER - Junk mail, cardboard, newspapers (inserts included), magazines, computer paper, office paper, empty brown bags, and school papers WILL BE PLACED IN THE SAME CONTAINER.  DO NOT BUNDLE, WRAP, TAPE OR BAG.   

2.         Mixed cans, glass, plastics and gable top containers-In a trash can.  Trash can must have handles, be under forty (40) gallons and less than fifty (50) pounds.

3.         Tires must have rims removed.  Put the rims out on trash day.  You must purchase a sticker for $2.00 at the Boro Hall for each tire.  Tires must not have holes, cuts or slashes in them.

4.         Brush must be bundled with rope or cord and no longer than three (3) feet long.  Brush must not be bigger than three (3) inches in diameter.  Put brush out on your trash day.

7.         Leaves – See leaf pickup schedule

8.         Bulk Metal – Put out on trash day

9.         Refrigerators and Air Conditioners – Purchase a sticker for $20.00 at Boro Hall (Freon removal fee).              Doors and shelves must be removed.

 

WASTE OIL CANNOT BE LEFT AT THE PUBLIC WORKS BUILDING

TRASH PICKUP

 

1.         Cans must be under forty (40) gallons and weigh less than fifty (50) pounds.

2.         Tires, rims, bulk metal go out on your regular trash day.

SECOND DISTICT TRASH PICKUP - Every Monday and Thursday (Except on Holidays)

 

 

BULK TRASH

 

1.         Wood, sheet rock, 2x4’s, etc. must be tied up in bundles no longer than three (3) feet long and all nails removed.  Bundles must be manageable.  NO CONTRACTOR DEBRIS WILL BE PICKED UP.

 

FIRST DISTICT TRASH PICKUP – 1st Thurs. of every month.

SECOND DISTICT TRASH PICKUP - 2nd Thurs. of every month.

THIRD DISTICT TRASH PICKUP - 3rd Thurs. of every month.

(No pick up on Holidays)

 

CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP

 

ALL DISTRICTS - January 9, January 16, & January 23, 2009

 

 

LEAF PICKUP

 

1. Leaves must be put to the curb by 6:00 AM the day of the pickup.

2.         An empty trash can must be put out with the leaves so the men can put the empty bags in it.

April 6, May 4, November 2, & December 7.

 

SECOND DISTRICT LEAF PICKUP

April 13, May 11, November 9, & December 14.
